Flamenco Dance in Spain Region
Spain is the origin of Flamenco. At different regions in Andalucia, different Flamenco dance styles but they are still very much similar to one another.
The principal dances for the Cante Jonde are: Alegrias, Soleares, Seguiriya, Zapateado and Cana.
The dances of the Cante Chico are: Farruca, Bulerias, Tangos, Zambras, Zorongo, Caracoles, Garrotin and Rumbitas.
For the past few decades, thousands of Flamenco Dancing enthusiasts have gone to Spain taking up lessons.
Andalucia
In Anadalucia main cities: Cadiz, Seville, Malaga and Granada. There are four main styles of Flamenco (palos) namely Soleares, Siguiriyas, Tangos and Fandangoes. Before BULERIAS, Tangos (music of 4-bit rythma) was frequently adopted by the gypsies during parties and fellowships. There are other regional styles such as MALAGUENAS, GRANANINAS and RONDENAS, etc.
A typical Flamenco stage performance consists of the singers: cantaor-male singer or cantaora (female singer), a guitarist and the bailaores (dancers). The dancers may also play the castanets while dancing.
